In the past few years Odense has become known as one of the leading places in Denmark within the field of robotics, especially robots for the healthcare sector.
Both the University of Southern Denmark and Odense University Hospital have a strong focus on the development of robots for use in the hospital, which is one of the reasons they have joined forces to create the WHINN conference "Robots and Drones for Health – Innovative Ideas for Improving Clinical Outcomes" on October 10th.
One of the novel ideas that will be presented at the conference is a robot platform for ultrasound scans which has recently received funding for development and clinical testing. Read more about the project here
